About me

I am a first-year Ph.D. student at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, advised by Assoc. Prof. Mengling ‘Mornin’ Feng. My current work focuses on AI for public health, in particular self-improving AI agents that can evaluate their own progress and keep learning when reliable feedback is scarce or ill-defined, with applications to complex healthcare tasks such as mental health counseling.

Before starting my Ph.D., I was an Intermediate Engineer at NLPR, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where I was very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Qiang Liu, Prof. Shu Wu, and Prof. Liang Wang. I was advised by Prof. Yuanping Chen and Prof. Xiaoqian Zhu from Computer Network Information Center, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, where I obtained my master’s degree.

My earlier research focused on deep learning, natural language processing, and agent augmentation, particularly in event extraction, fact-checking, graph learning, tool and retrieval-augmented generation. I later extended my interest to multi-modal foundation models in AI4Science.
